The $268 million Southern Corridor Improvements project on Auckland’s Southern Motorway (SH1)

Improvements to the southern corridor are scheduled for completion in 2019 and involves extra lanes on SH1 between Manukau and Papakura, upgrading the Takanini Interchange, and a new 4.5km shared walking and cycling path alongside SH1 between Takanini and Papakura.  Meanwhile the patience of motorists is being sorely tested.  Would be interesting to hear if the affect on the Auckland economy has been calculated?
