Adelaide's Seeley International has completed the world’s largest order for evaporative air conditioners, with 50,000 Breezair units installed in the tent city of Mina Valley, Saudi Arabia.

Seeley International Founder and Executive Chairman, Mr Frank Seeley, AM FAICD, said evaporative air coolers would be used by Makkah Pilgrims during their stay in the Mina Valley tent city which houses three million people.

“Our Breezair evaporative air conditioner was found to outperform more than 200 other air conditioning brands and delivered spectacular results against a comprehensive set of criteria that included energy-efficiency, reliability, performance and low environmental impact,” Mr Seeley said."

Evaporative cooling, which works best in dry conditions and uses far less power than reverse cycle air conditioning, is very common in South Australia and often in portable form in other states.
