Singapore Airlines' deployment of an A350 on the Christchurch to Singapore service will introduce Premium Economy Class to the route

Singapore Airlines will deploy one of its A350-900 aircraft to New Zealand, with operations to Christchurch scheduled to commence from 7 January 2019 when SQ297 departs Singapore for the city.

Singapore Airlines general manager New Zealand Simon Turcotte says the airline will be releasing travel agent fares later today to encourage South Island agents to try out the product. Deployment of the A350-900 will allow customers to experience Singapore Airlines' next generation Business and Economy Class seats as well as introduce Premium Economy Class on the route for the first time.Customers will be able to secure their seats on the new aircraft from tomorrow (Tuesday 15 May).
