The term "vox pop" comes from the Latin phrase vox populai, meaning "voice of the people" The VoxPop is more commonly used as a tool used to provide a snapshot of public opinion especially by television news reporters where they ask randomly selected individuals to give their opinion on a particular topic of the day for publication later on the TV news show.
The MSCVoxPop is a variation of this and is designed to be used by those who work and do business in the productive sectors such as manufacturing, agriculture, horticulture, technology, engineering, construction to name a few. Invaluable for those business's who don't have the budgets to engage communication experts or PR companies to write news and press releases for them.
Now you can tell it as it is and in your own words. That is record your own VoxPop on your phone. Your recording will come straight through to us at the MSCNewsWire Newsroom, along the way being converted to text. Each recording/VoxPop will be edited and prepared for release and distribution. How the app works
1. Firstly download the app from the iPhone App Store and Google Play - it's free.
2. Complete what is a very straight forward and brief registration process.
3. Record your VoxPop by pressing the microphone icon.
4. Record your message, no rush just take your time.
5. Then hit the Publish Icon
The VoxPops are published on the MSCNewsWire website under as many sections as is appropriate; a platform where viewer visits, over a month, have exceeded the million mark . Also selected VoxPops will be included in the TheMSCNewsWire that is distributed to the MSC subscriber database. Each VoxPop can also include links to external digital platforms.
