The Airbus A350-1000 is scheduled to go into operation during the second half of next year made it's maiden flight yesterday. The A350-1000, the longest and largest of the three A350 XWB base models, took off from Toulouse-Blagnac Airport, France, and flew for four-hours and 18-minutes, above southwestern France before touching back down at 3:00 pm. Fiji Airways orders five Boeing 737 MAX 8s
Boeing has secured a third 737 MAX customer in Oceania with Fiji Airways ordering five 737 MAX 8s for first delivery in 2018. The Fijian flag carrier said in a statement on Wednesday the 737 MAX 8 would “replace its existing narrow-body fleet”. Currently, Fiji Airways has five 737s in its fleet, comprising one 737-700 and four 737-800s, that are used on short- and medium-haul routes to Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii, Kiribati, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga and Vanuatu. KLM has announced that it will modernise the World Business Class cabin interiors on all of its Airbus A330s. Passengers will be able to experience the new-look cabin on A330-operated services from early 2018. The World Business Class cabin can already be found on KLM’s Boeing 787s, as well as retrofitted Boeing 777-200 and 747-400 aircraft. Nelson Airport has released its plans for a $32m terminal redevelopment, which will begin later this year. The project will take approximately 24 months to complete in a staged programme with over half of the new build able to occur on a green field site.
