At 8.31am, the first commercial Eurostar train from London to Amsterdam departed from St Pancras station.

Passengers on the maiden journey had paid as little as £35 one way for the 3 hour, 41 minute journey via Brussels and Rotterdam, though late bookers had only the option of Business Premier at £260.

Lufthansa and SWISS will be the first partner airlines to participate in the Singapore Airlines HighFlyer Programme. With effect from 2 April 2018, businesses that are members of the Singapore Airlines HighFlyer programme in Singapore and Australia can earn HighFlyer points when flying on Lufthansa and SWISS operated flights ticketed by Singapore Airlines on eligible sectors.

First visuals revealed of Populous' spherical London arena

The first images of Populous' MSG Sphere venue, which is planned for a site near the Olympic Park in east London, have been released.  Populous is designing the 18,000-seat spherical arena to host both music and esport events for the Madison Square Garden Company (MSG).  Plans for the venue emerged earlier this year, alongside images of an almost identical arena planned for Las Vegas.

Qatar Airways takes delivery of first Airbus A350-1000.  The official handover ceremony took place on Tuesday (European time) at Airbus’s headquarters in Toulouse, France.  The aircraft, A7-ANA, is the first of 37 A350-1000s Qatar Airways has on order. It is powered by Rolls-Royce engines.
