Westpac New Zealand will become naming partner for the Westpac Champion Business Awards 2018, Leeann Watson, CEO of the Canterbury Employers’ Chamber of Commerce announced today.

"We are pleased to announce Westpac as our naming partner. Westpac has been a long-term partner of the awards, and we are delighted that have reinforced their commitment to our region’s success," said Ms Watson.

"Westpac’s thrilled to become the naming partner for the Awards. We have been a committed supporter of the awards for the past 15 years, and the opportunity to become the naming partner enables us to continue to demonstrate our commitment to business growth and success in the Canterbury region," said Karen Silk, General Manager Commercial, Corporate & Institutional at Westpac New Zealand.

The Westpac Champion Business Awards have also been redesigned this year, reflecting the changing environment businesses operate in, and the change in priority and focus for business. The awards will continue to recognise and celebrate businesses that embody innovation, excellence and success, rewarding the businesses that shape the future of Canterbury and New Zealand.

"We are excited to present the Westpac Champion Business Awards in a refreshed format. Creating a bold, future focused and relevant award programme is essential to reflect the performance and aspirations of our truly diverse business community in Canterbury," says Leeann Watson.

The awards are free to enter and open to individuals and organisations of all sizes and from any industry sector, including the not-for-profit sector. Entries and nominations open on 7 May.
