Preparing your business for the workforce of the future

The Diversity Roadshow 2018 run by Diversity Works New Zealand in conjunction with the Chamber of Commerce kicks-off this  Thursday the 8th of March in Whangarei.

The New Zealand labour market is changing rapidly and businesses are beginning to see the impact of increased immigration, the rise of the Millennials and a large cohort of aging workers electing to stay in paid employment for longer.

The 2018 Diversity Roadshow: The Workforce of the Future will visit nine regions around New Zealand in March and April, giving employers the opportunity to find out how they can future proof their business by engaging with employees across a diverse range of ages and cultures..“Diversity and inclusion in the workplace bring many business benefits – a solution to skill shortages, a better ability to connect with customers and clients, better decision making, a more engaged team, higher productivity and a competitive edge, to name a few,” says Diversity Works New Zealand Chief Executive Bev Cassidy-Mackenzie.

“But it also comes with challenges and means organisations must adapt their practices and policies to ensure they have a good employer brand and access to the top talent in their sector.”

These 90-minute sessions will also feature a former Diversity Awards NZ™ entrant sharing how they have implemented an initiative that has changed their workplace culture and created a positive impact on business performance.

Here are the dates for all the roadshow events:

  • Whangarei – Thursday, 8 March
  • Hamilton – Tuesday, 13 March
  • Rotorua – Wednesday, 14 March
  • Tauranga – Thursday, 15 March
  • Christchurch – Tuesday, 10 April
  • Dunedin – Wednesday, 11 April
  • Queenstown – Thursday, 12 April
  • New Plymouth – Tuesday, 17 April
