Blenheim biotech firm to 'double' production with European investment

A group of European skin care and supplement wholesalers, which covers all 52 European countries, has bought shares in NZ Extracts writes Scott Hammond in the MarlboroughExpress.

Chief executive Mike Turner was thrilled with the foreign investment as the Dutch company had direct access to and owned pharmacies in Europe, and had good connections with health clinics and clinicians.  Turner said NZ Venture Partner's investment would help "double the size of our production" and would allow them to undertake new products and get into new markets. Blackcurrants are first reduced to powder before being processed further.
