Proposed changes to Goodman Fielder's NZ manufacturing network
Goodman Fielder today announced proposed changes to optimise its manufacturing network across New Zealand. Goodman Fielder New Zealand Managing Director, Tim Deane, said the proposed changes were part of the company’s strategy to invest further in its key manufacturing sites across its network to create a more sustainable business. “These proposals continue the $80 million investment we have made in the company since 2015 and are part of our planned additional investment of nearly $150 million as we continue to create a more sustainable business for the longer term,” he said. NZ signs deal with US to help make multinationals pay more tax
US to share more tax information about multinationals with New Zealand   Inland Revenue will receive more information about US multinationals operating in New Zealand following the signing of a new bilateral arrangement with the US Internal Revenue Service to share country-by-country reports. Revenue Minister Judith Collins says this is great news as it means Inland Revenue will have better information about how multinationals allocate profits from their operations here. “This will further enhance Inland Revenue’s risk assessment processes to make sure that the right amount of tax is being paid,” she says.
