Amcor makes recyclable and reusable packaging pledge

Jan 24, 2018  -  Amcor has revealed ambitious plans to make all its packaging recyclable or reusable by 2025.The company, which manufactures a wide range of packaging including PET bottles and films, has claimed that it’s the first global packaging firm to make such a pledge.

Ron Delia, Amcor’s chief executive, said: “Our aspiration is to be the leading global packaging company. That means winning on behalf of the environment, customers, consumers, shareholders and our people at the same time, in ways that differentiate Amcor and generate growth.”

Delia added that much of Amcor’s packaging is developed to be recycled and reusable, and is being designed to use less material in the first place.

“The people who make up our global team are inspired by ambitious goals,” he said. “They are capable, creative, and committed to building a great business and making a difference.”
