Fixing a low profile in their home market

Many exporters are operating under the radar in New Zealand and struggle to raise profile in their home market, one air conditioning manufacturer says.

Temperzone has been in business in New Zealand for 60 years and exporting since the 1970s. But governing director and chief executive Les Kendall (pictured above)said it was easy for a firm such a his, with most of its business done internationally, to operate relatively unnoticed by most New Zealanders.

A past winner of the Export Awards Temperzone  was the supreme winner of the 2012 Export Awards and Kendall said entering was a deliberate effort to rectify the profile problem.
