Are you a distributor looking for new Pacific Island products?

If the answer is YES – PTI NZ is on the hunt for new Distributors and Agents for a range of great Pacific Island made products coming into the New Zealand market.PTI NZ has adverting in the New Zealand Herald’s Friday Business Supplement as well as in PTI NZ’s social media pages on Facebook and LinkedIn has proved positive to date.

“So far, we’ve had a pleasing response from small distributors, businesses and people interested in the agency for Pacific Island products. But we’re keen to talk to more distributors or agents across the board,” said Ian Furlong, Trade Development Manager.

There’s a great range of Pacific Islands products from nutraceuticals, food and beverage, kava, clothing, coconut oil products, handicrafts, jewellery and charcoal.

“We are constantly wanting to meet people interested in distributing Pacific products in New Zealand,” Mr Furlong said.

Pacific Trade Invest is a not-for-profit organisation helping hundreds of Pacific Island businesses from 16 Forum Island countries to increase their economic livelihoods through trade.

This year, PTI NZ has its own Pasifika Business Market at the Pasifika Festival. The new initiative brings 35+ Pacific businesses from 11 Pacific Island countries to the Auckland festival to showcase their products at Auckland Pasifika Festival.

It is part of an initiative called the Path to Market programme where countries follow a structured approach to entering the New Zealand market. Hosting the Pacific Island countries and their businesses in one market place at the festival means distributors and agencies can see the different products available and gauge some of the responses to the products.

“There is an opportunity for new distributors to personally meet some of the Pacific businesses in late March who are coming to the Pasifika Business Market,” Mr Furlong said.

“This is an opportunity to see the products first hand and talk directly to the business owners,” he said.
