Blokarts and bike tracks are part of the plans for a multi-million dollar Kāpiti Coast sports park reports Virginia Fallon for Stuff.
The Kāpiti Coast District Council has pushed play on a plan to consult on the development of Otaraua Park, a 60-hectare block of land between Waikanae And Otaihanga.
Kāpiti Mayor K Gurunathan said that while it was early days in terms of planning, it was something the district should be excited about.
"It's the biggest chunk of land for this sort of thing in the region, we're looking at it as a regional amenity and we'll be pursuing it as that."
