Travelling to South Africa will soon become much easier for Kiwis, advises Adventure World Travel.

South Africa’s Home Affairs Minister Malusi Gigaba has revealed a number of alterations to the existing visa process which includes the introduction of E-Visas for New Zealanders.

New Zealand will be the pilot nation for the E-Visa scheme in autumn 2019, with the electronic form of visa paperwork process being trialled by New Zealanders only. Caryn Young, general manager of Adventure World Travel NZ was recently in Wellington and met with the South African High Commissioner Vuyiswa Tulelo.

'To say we’re pleased about this simplification is an understatement. This will be a game changer for Kiwis right around the country who have been put off by the daunting visa process,' says Young. 'South Africa is a much loved and popular destination for our travellers, and this change will help our agent partners to bring their clients' travel dreams to fruition.

'This announcement has also come at a great time for Adventure World Travel, as we’ve just launched our 2019/2020 Africa tailor-made collection, which strongly features South Africa.

'These changes will not only encourage new visitors to South Africa, they will also encourage repeat travellers and South Africans returning to visit friends and family.'
