Designer and hobby engineer wants to build a machine to turn plastic waste into filament for 3D printers.

From architecture to design, engineering to education, 3D printing is now commonplace. But have you ever thought about the waste produced?

Michael Fox has. The 25-year-old Christchurch-based designer and hobby engineer told Stuff that hewants to build a machine to turn plastic waste into filament for 3D printers. It will be the first of its kind.
