Air New Zealand has cancelled flight NZ99 from Auckland to Tokyo Narita International Airport due to forecast weather conditions in Tokyo as a result of Typhoon Shanshan.

As a consequence, the return flight NZ90 from Tokyo to Auckland has also been cancelled.

Air New Zealand is continuing to monitor conditions closely. In the meantime, customers booked to travel to or from Tokyo (Narita or Haneda Airports) up to and including Friday, 10 August are being offered flexibility.

Customers are able to defer their travel to another flight up to Wednesday 15 August 2018 in the same class of travel without fare difference or penalty. If travel is only available in a higher cabin class, any fare differential will apply. Customers who no longer require to travel automatically have the option to transfer their booking to another date or hold the fare value in credit for up to 12 months toward future travel. Customers with refundable fares may also apply for a refund. The airline recommends customers ensure they are subscribed to Air New Zealand’s Travel Alert service to receive updates. Air New Zealand’s next scheduled service to Tokyo is currently scheduled to depart Auckland at 8.55am, Thursday, 9 August.
