24 Oct: 0829 | Croptracker is pleased to announce its upcoming partnership with New Zealand-based digital technology company Cucumber Ltd, with offices in Tauranga, Bay of Plenty.

As part of a three-year agreement, Croptracker and Cucumber will collaborate on the development of value-added products to complement both companies’ suite of offerings that serve the ever-evolving needs of the horticulture industry. Cucumber will also act as Croptracker’s exclusive distributor and value added partner in New Zealand and provide a dedicated delivery and local support team for clients in the region.

Jeff Chemeres, Chief Strategic Officer of Croptracker states: “Cucumber and Croptracker share the same vision of software development close in hand with a commitment to customer service. We expect to have a long and successful future within New Zealand, and we are looking forward to working alongside Cucumber every step along the way.”

“The combination of Cucumber and Croptracker establishes a very firm position for servicing the needs of the Horticulture Industry in New Zealand,” says Brian Bell, Chief Executive Officer of Cucumber. “We look forward to a prosperous relationship with Croptracker and are excited to provide the next generation of digital technologies to enhance the outcomes of companies that contribute to a very significant part of the NZ economy.”

Croptracker, Inc. is a cloud-based record-keeping and operations management software service which provides advanced solutions to clients in the fruit and vegetable industry, enhancing food safety traceability while decreasing overall operational costs. Its mission is to make crop production safer, more efficient, and more profitable for growers. Starting in 2006 with the consult of a small group of apple growers in Ontario, Canada, Croptracker is used today by more than 2,000 growers from 41 countries.

Cucumber, established in 2004, focuses on human-digital collaboration enablement, specifically digital technologies that enhance decision support and automation solutions for customers within the plant-based value chain. Their range of services and existing platform enables clients to get a unique solution whilst leveraging pre-defined state-of-the-art technology components. Use of AI, IoT and other emerging technologies by Cucumber’s skilled professionals enables them to solve complex business challenges such as inventory management, digitising of business processes, and asset optimization.
