Mar 12, 2018  -  Hills has appointed Rick Splinter as enterprise business development manager in New Zealand, as the specialist distributor expands capabilities across the local channel.

Based in Auckland, Splinter is tasked with providing additional expertise to the purpose-build business, while strengthening the company’s sales capacity.

“With the security landscape evolving rapidly, organisations are increasingly looking for guidance and advice on their approach to security,” Hills New Zealand general manager, Chris Whiting, told Reseller News.

“Rick’s experience, together with his technical knowledge, will boost Hills’ ability to provide true turn-key offerings to integrators, consultants and end users.”

Prior to Hills, Splinter was most recently regional sales manager for Avigilon Corporation in New Zealand, following senior positions at Tyco Integrated Fire and Security.

With more than 20 years of senior sales management experience, Splinter specialises in new business acquisition, spanning both commercial and government sectors.

“It’s been an exciting start to the year for Hills New Zealand,” Whiting added. “The timing of Rick’s appointment coincides with the launch of our new e-commerce platform and the refurbishment of the Hills Auckland show room – both of which are focused on creating a better customer experience.

“The Auckland trade centre now boasts a new look showroom, a new video demonstration suite, and updated training facilities for integrator sales and technical training.

“Customers will see improvements in our level of service, our product range and our engagement in the market.”Read moreHills e-commerce platform goes live

Listed on the ASX, Hills specialises in the distribution of specialist technologies, including AV, communications, security and surveillance solutions.
