China: First import of fruit puree from New Zealand arrives at Jiangsu Port

Mar 08, 2018  - According to the Changzhou Entry-Exit Inspection & Quarantine Bureau, a batch of 1,319 boxes of fruit puree from New Zealand has successfully passed the quarantine examination and has arrived in the Chinese markets.

This is the first time that Jiangsu Port has imported puree from New Zealand. Customer interest in fruit puree and other prepacked products grows every year. In January and February 2018, the 39 batches of prepackaged food that were imported to Changzhou Port totaled 301.5 tons. Compared to last year it is an increase of 260% and 234%. In 2017, Jiangsu Port imported 101 batches of puree with a total weight of 219,000 tons from Belgium, Germany, France, the United States, India and Chile.

Jiangsu Port imported fruit puree from New Zealand for the first time

The first batch has a puree of four different mixed flavors: Apple+banana+pear+golden kiwi; banana+apple+strawberry+cherry; banana+blueberry+apple+blackcurrant and apple+mango+passion fruit+yogurt. The cargo weight is about 6 tons and each bag of puree is about 90g.
