OPINION: The Prime Minister has confidence in her Minister of Broadcasting.

So she told us, this weekend.

Clare Curran was this week unceremoniously sacked from Cabinet and from the portfolios of open government and digital services, after misleading Parliament about a late-night meeting with entrepreneur Derek Handley.

She failed to disclose she had ushered the innovator and philanthropist into her Beehive office, at 8pm after all her staff had gone home – a meeting she set up via her private email, did not record in her diary, and omitted to reveal in a direct Parliamentary question . . . . . . >
